About the Role:
At Deepshot, we're embarking on an exciting journey to extend our innovative web platform into the mobile realm. We're seeking a Mobile App Engineer who will play a pivotal role in developing our mobile applications for iOS and Android, bringing the efficiency and scalability of our web offerings to mobile users worldwide. As part of our tech team, you will collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure a seamless, integrated experience across our platforms. Our main stack includes React for web development, Node.js for backend, and we're excited to incorporate React Native for mobile app development.
What You will Do:
- Design and develop mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native, ensuring a consistent and efficient user experience that mirrors our web application.
- Work closely with our backend team to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality across platforms.
- Maintain and improve mobile app performance, focusing on optimization and innovation to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with the design team to implement UI/UX principles and ensure the mobile app aligns with our web platform's aesthetics and usability standards.
- Implement and maintain mobile app documentation, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for ongoing development and maintenance.
- Participate in the oversight of mobile CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliability and efficiency in the deployment process.
- Utilize and manage cloud services for mobile application development, with a focus on scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Engage in a team-oriented environment, contributing to collaborative problem solving and rapid development cycles.
What we are looking for:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience with React Native or similar frameworks for mobile app development, with a portfolio of projects or contributions to showcase.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating backend services with mobile applications.
- Familiarity with database design and data integration for mobile applications.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD practices and cloud services management, preferably GCP.
- Knowledge of mobile app security, scalability, and performance optimization principles.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude with a strong desire to learn and master new technologies.
- Someone who is not afraid to voice their opinions on mobile app design and development practices.
